Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 11, 2026 · Last updated: June 11, 2026
Found-IT ("Found-IT", "we", "us") provides a conversational inventory service that helps you remember where your physical things are. You interact with our assistant, Stash, through messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Found-IT, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Contact and account information. Your phone number (WhatsApp) or messaging ID and username (Telegram), and your profile name as provided by the messaging platform.
- Message content. The messages you send to Stash — for example, descriptions of items and the places you stored them — and the replies we send back. This content forms your personal inventory.
- Usage data. Basic technical metadata such as message timestamps and delivery status, used to operate and troubleshoot the service.
- Support communications. Anything you send us when you contact support.
We do not collect payment card data, precise location data, or your device contacts. Our service is conversational — we only know what you tell us.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the service: store the item locations you describe and answer your questions about them.
- To operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Found-IT.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your messages for third-party advertising. We will never send you marketing messages on WhatsApp or Telegram without your prior opt-in, and you can opt out at any time by messaging STOP.
3. Messaging platforms (WhatsApp and Telegram)
When you talk to Stash on WhatsApp, your messages are transmitted through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. and are subject to the WhatsApp Privacy Policy. When you use Telegram, your messages are subject to the Telegram Privacy Policy. We receive the messages you send to our business account and process them as described in this policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of the messaging platforms themselves.
4. How we share information
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the service — for example cloud hosting and AI language-model providers that process message text so Stash can understand and answer you. They may process data only on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or others.
- Business transfers. If Found-IT is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; this policy will continue to apply.
5. Data retention
We keep your inventory data for as long as your account is active so that Stash can answer your questions. If you stop using the service, we retain your data for up to 24 months and then delete or anonymize it, unless the law requires a longer period. You can request deletion at any time (see below).
6. Your rights and choices
- Access & export. Ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you — your inventory lives in a file you own, and you can request it at any time.
- Correction. Tell Stash to update or correct any item or location.
- Deletion. Message DELETE MY DATA to Stash, or email us, and we will delete your account and inventory within 30 days.
- Opt out. Stop using the bot, or message STOP to opt out of any non-essential messages.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU/EEA, UK, or Israel), you may have additional statutory rights. We honor valid requests under applicable data-protection law.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege access for our systems and staff — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of any breach as required by law.
8. Children
Found-IT is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction and the messaging platform you use). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the service.
